About Our Company

In 2020, the whole world suffered the consequences of COVID-19. In the USA, almost everything shut down. Our family understood that everyone can be vulnerable, but in the context of COVID, people living with disabilities could be vulnerable twice. When staying home was the only way to protect everyone, covering services for people with disabilities was among the rare exceptions. And that is why the US Government declared serving people with disabilities essential work.

As we worked through that trying time, we noticed the number of caregivers decrease; some became ill, and others quit out of fear of infection. We survived all that, and we believe that anything that doesn’t kill you can make you stronger.

In 2021, we fully committed to serving people with disabilities and founded THE MWEZES LLC. “Mweze” is a family name shared through both our grandfather’s lineage and our spouse’s family. We adopted the plural form, resulting in THE MWEZES LLC. Another meaning of the name is that Mweze means “the moon”; we believe that our company will be that light in the darkness.
